Short history about Ghanaian greatest footballer Abedi Ayew Pele

Also known as Abedi Pele, is a Ghanaian former professional footballer and one of Africa’s greatest footballers of all time.

Born on November 5, 1964, in Kibi, Ghana, Pele had a remarkable career playing as an attacking midfielder. He achieved success both at the club and international levels.

Pele played for several clubs throughout his career, including Asante Kotoko, Marseille, Lyon, and Torino.

He notably captained the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, and became a symbol of excellence and leadership in African football.

Pele’s skillful dribbling, vision, and goal-scoring ability earned him numerous accolades, including the African Footballer of the Year award three times (1991, 1992, 1993).

After retiring from playing, Pele transitioned into coaching and football administration, contributing to the development of the sport in Ghana and beyond.

He has two brothers Kwame Ayew and Solo Ayew who played football at proffesional level and represented Ghana at national and international levels
